We are going to attempt to make up games this Thursday 11/3/2011, a revised schedule has been posted.  If we cannot play these games this Thursday these games will not be played and the season will be over.

We have revised and reposted the fall PeeWee schedule to reduce the number of double headers and ensure that every team has at least 1 game per week.  In doing so we are not able to balance game times or fields , this is regretable but unavoidable.

The fall schedule is currently under review.

There has been some concern expressed regarding the fall schedule and the number of double hearders.  Therefore we are reviewing it to see what can be done.

AN UPDATE WILL BE POSTED LATER TODAY WITH THE FINAL SCHEDULING DECISION.

The initial fall PeeWee Schedule has been posted.

Please take note of the following FALL RULE changes:

1.  We will be playing with a 1 hour 15 minute, finish the inning time limit.  Meaning that we will not stop a game in the middle of an inning, unless the home team is ahead, if less than 75 minutes have transpired since the first pitch.  And we will not start an inning if more than 75 minutes have transpired since the first pitch.  The home plate umpire will be responsible for keeping track of the official game time.

2.  Teams will have up to 15 minutes past the scheduled game time to be on the field and ready to play ball.  Any team who cannot field 9 players 15 minutes after the scheduled game time will forfeit the game.

3. Rain Outs will be scheduled on a Saturday as necessary.  We will work to be accomodating to schedules regarding football and soccer and team commitments.  This will be handled on an as needed basis.

Please note that you will have most likely have games at two different ball parks on the same night during this fall league.  This is unfortunate but necessary due to the number of games/teams we are playing in a short time window.  In this situation Rule 2 above will still apply.

Durant Baseball Summer League is not affilliated with any photographer and there are no "league" pictures being taken.  Pictures are the responsibility of the coaches and parents.  Again there is no "league photograper" associated with the Durant Baseball Summer League.

All games should now be rescheduled and posted.  If we've missed anything please let us know ASAP so that we can make corrections quickly.

As of right now all games for tonight (May 24th, 2011) are Canceled based upon National Weather Service information.  The entire Bryan county region is under extreme threats of severe weather and as such we do not feel it is in the best interest of our players and their families to play ball tonight.

We have had to post revised schedules for Midget and PeeWee with a couple of changes from the version posted earlier today.  This revised schedule only affects a couple of teams, but please check carefully to ensure that you are aware of your current game times and locations.

ATTENTION COACH PITCH AND T-BALL

Due to the fields and bleachers at the new Plyler park not being completed yet we are having to shift some things around next week (May 2nd-8th).  Coach pitch games have been moved to Slaten Park and Billy Miller 3.  T-Ball games have been rescheduled for 2 Saturdays, May 21st and June 4th.

A new schedule has been posted that reflects these changes.

We apologize for this inconvenience and have been informed by the city of Durant that Plyler park will be ready to go by our next scheduled games.  If for some reason this changes we will notify you as soon as possible.

Due to the number of tournament teams, church retreats, rodeos, etc. we have in all divisions we WILL NOT be able to accommodate cancelling makeup games due to teams/coaches not being able to make it to rescheduled games.

Only a school function will be looked at as a potential rescheduling opportunity. 

A "NO SHOW" is a forfeit.  If both teams "NO SHOW", or do not have enough players to play, both teams will forfeit.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately we can not control the weather.

We have received clarification from Randy Wintz, President of OK Kids Baseball Association Inc. regarding a players "Home Field".

Home Field is defined as the game field NOT the practice field.

Since we play our games on several fields in Durant we have designated the Complex as the official home field for all divisions of Durant Summer Baseball.
